large-receive-offload: off in one version and on in another version

Hello mellanox developers,

I'm new to mellanox and linux, so please bear with me. Here is my question: In a previous version of mlx4, large-receive-offload appears to be off by default. However with a later version -MLNX_OFED_LINUX-2.0-2.0.5 (OFED-2.0-2.0.5)- large-receive-offload appears to be on by default. In fact, a number of the parameters that ethtool -k lists are different between the older version of the drivers and the newer version. I'm picking up existing implementation and there isn't much documentation on it. I can set various parameters via a shell script which invokes ethtool -K, but I was wondering if I'm missing something more basic about how to set up or configure the drivers.

Any info will be helpful.
