Hi,
We have two nodes in a windows server 2012 R2 Hyper-v Cluster with 1 dual port ConnectX-2 card for IPoIB/iSCSI SAN access.
We also have a stand alone hyper-v for replica with the same card.
Actually we are on 4.60 driver version.
We try the 4.80, but this version create some instabilities.
Last week, we saw the 4.90 driver version and we try too install on the stand alone hyper-v.
After drivers installation, we see a warning. The warning ID is 1005 and it say "the firmware upgrade need to be installed manualy".
I have read the 4.90 user manual and i don't see the ConnectX-2 card in the supported network card.
But if i ask the mellanox website for the good drivers for ConnectX-2 card, the answer is 4.90 drivers.
I also check the last firmware version for ConnectX-2 card and is the same firmware, we have on our cards.
We have some stability issues, CSV crashed or VM reload on the hyper-v cluster.
We are interested by the 4.90 driver, because some issues are aparently fixed in this driver.
So my question is, can we install the 4.90 driver without firmware upgrade ?
Or not ?
Or i missed something ?
Best regards,
