We have a couple of brand new systems - Intel S2600GZ with Windows 2008 R2 SP1 using the ConnectX2 card (MHQH19B-XTR). The issue we are having is that the OpenSM service stays in the 'Starting' mode indefinitely. As mentioned, this happens on more than one system. We have been shipping this configuration for some time - ie, we have certified this card on this OS and hardware, and do not understand why this just started happening. We have tried updating the firmware of the card, the BIOS of the server, and the driver of the card and it does not seem to help.
I don't see any interesting events in the event viewer or any other indications of what could be happening.
Any ideas?
