What is the difference between the following cabling parts for any given length?
MFS4R12CB-xx
MC2206310-xx
MC2207310-xx
The first two parts seem to be FDR/QDR which I assume means they can operate at both data rates?
Seems like MFS4R12CB in 50m and 100m lengths may be QDR only?
Third part says FDR and does not indicate QDR so I am assuming its FDR only?
Also when interconnecting a ConnecxtX-2 card such as MHQ29C-XTR to a FDR10 switch like SX601x what are the restrictions on data rates and will the above active cable work here with no problem?
I am assuming the adapter end will downshift to its maximum data rate QDR and the switch end of active cable will probably run at full FDR hence a mismatch unless transceivers in the two ends talk to each other and negotiate a common speed. I guess the port on the switch could also be programmed to operate at QDR only and hence resolve the issue if there is one?
